Well, we've got a true walker on our hands. For the last several weeks, Sydney has walked some, fallen and then crawled to get where she wanted to go. Now she prefers walking. She still falls, and can be pretty wobbly, but she's definitely walking more than she's crawling.
We went to the mall Friday to get Maddie some fall clothes and I let Sydney walk for awhile. I had two different people come up and ask how old she was. She just looks so little to be walking so it's pretty funny.
Sydney goes HARD. She plays very hard and, because of this, she is a fantastic napper. Yesterday, after THREE hours, I went in her room to check on her.
Three hours in, she's OUT.
I got her school newsletter this week with an update from her teacher. At one, they will transition to one nap a day and will be making the move to table food and cot-sleeping. Cue minor panic attack here. I went through this with Madeline certain she would NEVER sleep on a cot, or sit at a table, but she did. And I know Sydney will too. It just seems like a BIG transition.
I had my girls night on Thursday and really enjoyed the margaritas dinner with my friends.
Lauren is getting married in September! We're not able to go to the wedding and I'm so sorry to miss it. Looking forward to celebrating with a spa day in a few weeks though!
Chris had the girls while I was out.
Next up: Celebrating the last few weeks of baby-dom with this little girl. My last baby, my sweet Sydney, is turning one. Of course, I'm so excited for her, but a little sad too. We are moving from the "baby and toddler" phase to "two toddlers." Which is pretty much like having two teenagers. Sigh.
