We are home from a great week in Disney! And, we are back to work.
And it's COLD. COLD. COLD.
The last few days I've been organizing pictures. I have them on several phones, on Disney's website and Chris's camera. We took a lot!
But first, we had to get there!
Chris, Maddie and I drove.
And, for the first time, Maddie got car sick. She didn't throw up (thank heavens!) but she got really nauseated and slept/whined for the last half of the trip.
Sydney flew with my parents and we were reunited at our hotel, Art of Animation!
We stayed in a family suite and it was awesome! After we got checked in...
Chris went to the marathon expo and Maddie and I went to the pool. (Syd took a nap)
Our hotel had a fun little playground for the kids.
We organized our princess dresses (priorities!)
Saturday night, we had an adults only dinner with Dave and Tara.
The boys had to carb load for their race!
We had a great Italian meal with good friends.
After dinner, we went shopping to buy Chris something he could wear for the race. We wanted him to stand out. A lot of people wear costumes.
Nope.
We were in bed early and up E-A-R-L-Y. The guys caught their bus at 3:30 AM, and Tara and I followed at 4:45AM.
5 AM selfie - are we really doing this?!
The race started at 5:30, but the boys crossed the start line around 6 AM.
Ready to run 26!
First we saw them at mile 5 at Magic Kingdom. The castle was beautiful!
It's hard to tell, but there were hundreds (thousands?) of people at Magic Kingdom, all before the sun rose.
At mile 13, the boys came out of Animal Kingdom and Dave tossed his goofy hat to Tara.
And it was so wet with sweat we had to get a bag for it. EEEEE.
Coming out of Hollywood Studios, headed for the finish line!
All smiles, knowing the end is near.
While Tara and I went park to park, my parents had the girls in the morning.
Maddie modeling one of her gifts from tia.
They headed to Epcot to see the finish line.
Waiting on daddy to come through!
After 26.2
Recovering!
We went back to the hotel for a little rest.
In typical Maddie fashion, she had a costume change before we headed back to Epcot.

D and T let Chris and I ride Test Track while they watched our kiddos.
But the evening didn't last long. We nearly lost Dave at the aquarium.
And when we got back to the hotel, Chris passed out fully dressed on the bed before 9 PM. An early morning 26.2 mile run will do that to ya!!
It was a great day and Chris accomplished a goal he'd had for many months! So so proud of him for sticking with it and running a great race! Next up: A week at Disney!!
