Chris took Friday off to kick off Easter weekend. We weren't sure what we were going to do, but were planning for a fun day with the girls. Except...Sydney woke up with a terrible cough. It sounded very croup-y, but she had no other symptoms. She had no fever and was a pretty happy camper. I wouldn't have worried too much but decided to run her up to the pediatrician knowing we had a holiday weekend ahead of us.
Selfies while we wait!
Kisses!
The ped was pretty sure she had croup but was confused as to why she had no other symptoms. Then she asked if it was possible if Sydney could have swallowed something. I told her honestly that I didn't think Sydney had but it wasn't outside of the realm of possibility, given this was my little ninja Sydney we were talking about. She recommended a chest x-ray thinking something lodged could be causing the cough and raspy breathing. So, we headed to the hospital.
If you're keeping count, this was our second trip in three weeks to the hospital. Oh, you're not keeping count? Well, Anthem sure is. Just doing my part to hit my deductible and keep doctors in business, y'all.

Of course, I started to panic. What if she HAD swallowed something?
Walking to radiology.
I was certain a barbie shoe was going to show up on the x-ray but fortunately, she was declared "free of foreign objects." Just a terrible cough.
Maddie and daddy had some fun time while Sydney and I were out.
Animal train!
Saturday night, we celebrated Easter with Nana, Grandpa, Laura, Cory and the cousins!
Maddie LOVED the egg hunt!
Sydney was kind of "meh" about it.
Everyone say cheese!
Yeah, right.
Showing off the loot!
Sisters!
We had a yummy yummy dinner of filet and crab legs! Maddie and Dane both tried the crab and loved it.
These two are so sweet.
Crazy. Rowdy. But sweet.
Saturday night we watched our beloved CATS in the Final Four. Tara made us some cat paws cupcakes.
Sadly, this wasn't our year. Maybe next year!
On Sunday we celebrated Easter at grandma and grandpa's house.
Maddie loved finding the BIG eggs.
Jazzed about her bike streamers. She's been wearing me out wanting some bike streamers. Fortunately, the Easter Bunny was aware.
Sydney was so sweet.
This picture keeps cracking me up. I didn't realize you couldn't see the baby and no one told me! Sydney is in there!
Pretty sure Tia was trying to steal some chocolate eggs.
What a great weekend celebrating our risen Savior with family!
