Sydney is growing up!

Our little Sydney is growing up!

Since she turned one, Sydney has seemed SO BIG to me. She actually is bigger, in fact, we might have skipped 12 month clothing all together. The other day I dressed her in a 12 months onesie with pants and it was SNUG. Girl might be going from 9-12 straight to 18 months.

She still puts almost everything in her mouth but she did color a bit the other day, after watching Madeline and I do it.

I made the rainbow. She's smart, but not a genius. :)

Doing better with her utensils.

Did you know sisters start fighting right away? I have a 1 and 3 year old and they are already fighting. They love each other dearly, but are together 5 days a week so sometimes, they need a little break. Saturday morning, we split the girls and I took Maddie out for a lunch date. We had a great time!

It was nice having some 1x1 time with my big girl.
No, we didn't eat all of this. We took some home to daddy!

While we were gone, daddy and Sydney had some 1x1 time.
It went slightly different. :)

On Sunday, Hudson and Sloane came for pizza and playtime!
Besties.

No clue. They were laughing hysterically.

Maddie and I have been learning how to play some games. She is finally getting the hang of following the rules. Her favorites are Candyland, Pretty Pretty Princess and Memory.
Big girl!

BOO at the ZOO!

On Saturday, grandma, grandpa and tia joined Chris and I, along with Tinkerbell and a ladybug for the "World's Largest Halloween Party."

Maddie ready for the candy stations and Sydney checking out the costumes!

Starting the walk through the forest!

What do you mean, I get no candy? NOT FAIR!

The girls going through hay maze.

There were A LOT of characters. At first Maddie was a little shy. This was our first one and she wouldn't even look at Alice. Fortunately, she warmed up!

Little Tink and big Tink!

Yes, we're adults.

Waiting on the haunted train!

Sydney's first time on the carousel!

And…she's not ready yet.

What a beautiful, fun night!

Quiet Time

Lately, Madeline has been staying awake during her nap telling me she prefers "quiet time" to napping. I peeked in on her the other day (she naps in the guest room) and she was fixing her baby doll's hair.

I watched her through the crack in the door for several minutes. She sang to her, rocked her, and eventually put her baby down for her nap.  Goodness, I just love her sweet soul.

If she doesn't fall asleep, her quiet time is about an hour. Then we have some time to hang out before little sis wakes up.
Snack selfie

This week we went to All About Kids and KGA.

Sydney loves the trampoline.

After KGA, we had lunch with Harper and Elizabeth at Chik Fil A.
Maddie and Harper are hilarious together. This morning, they both dressed themselves and showed up in a lot of pink and sparkly sequins.

Sweet friends!

Fall Fun

This weekend, we took food to K and D and got to spend a little time with them and baby Sloane. Kyle had raked up a ton of leaves and Maddie and Hudson had the best time playing in them!

Sydney got in on the fun!

I am so lucky.

We played at the park!

We are so excited that baby Sloane is here! Sydney is looking forward to having a new friend!

KaZoing!

The girls and I found a new fun spot this week - KaZoing!

There was one room filled with all kinds of toys: a huge train table, dollhouses, kitchens, blocks, etc, etc.

We played there for awhile and then we went into the inflatable room. There were 5 HUGE inflatables, the biggest I've seen actually.
Maddie playing basketball.

Truth be told, I put my camera down and went in and jumped around with the girls so this is the only selfie we got. And it's terrible. But, kind of funny too.
I tried to get the girls to look at the camera and smile. Maddie decided she was going to make a pig face and Sydney, well, she just was too busy looking at us.

We had a great morning playing together. Maddie has already asked if we can go back. (Every day)

We also discovered that the Middletown Target has carts more conducive to shopping with two monkeys.

And, they have an interactive Barbie game where you can take a picture of yourself in Barbie's clothes.
Fun!

These two girls light up my life. I love watching their relationship grow every day.

Nana offered to watch Maddie and Sydney on Friday so Chris and I could go out to dinner by ourselves. It took us about 5 seconds minutes to decide we wanted to go to Mojito.
This is the face of two people who just stuffed their face with solomillo, tacos, and Graeters ice cream. Thanks nana!
