We had an eventful weekend. On Friday night, we got into a bad car wreck.
It was so scary but we feel very fortunate. We were stopped, turning into our neighborhood when a lady slammed into us at full speed. She never braked. She was taken to the hospital so we are not sure why she hit us. They are still investigating so I'll guess we will find out more later when the police report comes out. Chris took the brunt of the pain and is left with black eyes and cuts on his head. The girls were snug in their car seats and got perfect checks from Kosair. Now we're dealing with a lot of soreness and insurance agencies, but it could have been a lot worse so we just praise God for keeping an eye on us.
Moving on...
We had a special visitor last week. This mama deer gave birth in our next door neighbors yard so the sweetest baby deer was sleeping behind their rock for awhile. Maddie and I walked over and saw the little baby. The mama and baby hung around for a couple of days but then left for the woods.
I didn't get a pic of the baby...this was taken from my kitchen and baby was too little.
Thursday night, Tia came over to play.
On Friday, we took Sydney to Huber's for her first visit!!
Heading out to the patch!
Grabbing her box to go strawberry pick!
The yummy loot!
Baby wearing. I am a poster child for it. Love the bjorn!
We had a great lunch at Chuy's! (Yes, we're obsessed.)
Chillin in the car after dropping everyone off.
After a rest, we had some dress up and play time!
I mean seriously...she is SO CUTE.
Maddie talked daddy into Graeter's.
After Graeter's we got into the wreck.
On Saturday, we had plans with Kyle and Danielle to go to the Wings for Kids Air Show. We ended up just having them over for lunch and letting the kids play at our house. We were still exhausted from the wreck and really sore.
Maddie and Hudson sprayed each other with water bottles and played in the pool for a long time.
Sharing a snack on the chair.
It was a busy and exhausting (and scary) weekend. We are ready for a calm week!
