Spring Break - 2019 - Walt Disney World!

Jeepers. It's been over a MONTH since I blogged last! I know I say it all the time, but it has just been crazy around here.  We went on Spring Break to Disney, I traveled for work and the kids had SO MANY activities to close the school year. Today was our official last day (so much more on that later!) but I like to keep this blog in order, so let's pick up where we left off!

We were originally supposed to be sailing on Oasis of the Seas with our friends, but Royal Caribbean cancelled our cruise last minute. We thought about it for a bit, and decided to take the kids back to Disney. Because, why not?! And, of course, we had a blast! It will take me a few days to go through our whole trip so sit back, relax and enjoy!

We had a long drive and hopped in the pool right when we arrived!

The kids love riding the Disney bus.

Our whole gang kicking off the week at Magic Kingdom!

Just the parents!

This pic still cracks me up. Every morning Chris and Danielle had to get coffee. Kyle and I don't drink it so we'd hang back with the kids. One morning we decided to get a photo and see how long it took Chris and Danielle to find it in their app.

By far, the favorite ride of the day for my girls was Splash Mountain. Sloane IS in this boat, but she's hiding!

Sydney wanted to sit up front on EVERY SINGLE RIDE.

We got drenched!

Official ride photo.

Front row on Big Thunder Mountain.

We also hit up Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

It was hot so we had lots of cool sweet treats.

We rested our feet.

I took pics from the sidelines - I do NOT do tea cups!

This was the first year that Maddie and Hudson could ride together. Previously, it was easy to split up on rides. One parent went with one child. With Maddie and Hudson riding together, it split us up a little funky, sometimes leaving three adults squeezed together. :)

We ended the day on Main Street, watching Happily Ever After!

What a great first full day!

This and That...

The last of my March posts before we head on Spring Break!

Chris and I went to a charity event with some friends and had a great time!

Chris doesn't snuggle with me anymore at night. He's found a new love. HAHA!

She is so cute though!

Lastly, we got the girls second report cards for the year. They both had excellent grades, so we celebrated with a skillet cookie!

This little one is doing tremendous! Her standardized test scores have improved, she's reading second grade sight words and she's making lots of friends. She's a little chatty, but I think that's just who she is. :)

Leader Day!

Every year our elementary school has a Leader Day. The school invites parents into the classroom and the building to get a glimpse at every day life.

Each class has a handful of "leaders" that are selected to show parents around the classrooms as they visit.

Maddie was a leader for her class. She showed parents around the room, highlighting class goals, the resolution bridge, and more.

Sydney was also chosen as a leader for her class. She reviewed Habit 3 with parents that came to talk to her. She had a great little speech on how she puts first things first at school and at home.

I'm so proud of both of them! They are having excellent years.

When I came home, I was really tired. I tried to take a little power nap before the girls came home. Daisy had other plans.

Speaking of Daisy, she has no idea that she's not little.

I've been subbing here and there, whenever the school needs me. During indoor recess one day, one of my kiddos spelled my name with dominos. I thought it was a riot!

This one lost 2 teeth in about 4 days!

AND! It's almost Spring Break! We are so excited. We are headed to Disney!

And we won't be wearing coats!

Fun with Friends!

We had a great March! We had lots of random warm days that let us get outside.

Maddie has been having Stomp practice after school on Monday's so Sydney and I enjoy a little 1x1 time each week.

Maddie went to a Father/Daughter dance with her girl scout troop.

The girls continue to love the Secret Pal gifts each month.

We took Lizzy and Brooke to Pizza King for their first time!

And we've had ALL THE BIRTHDAY PARTIES. Like, all of them. We celebrated Layla at Falls City one weekend.

Then, we celebrated Sawyer at SkyZone.

THEN, we celebrated Mason, our neighbor.

Maddie and Madison have gotten very close this year. I just love watching all of her friendships!

Finally, we got rid of all of our Girl Scout Cookies! Maddie's goal was 100 boxes and she sold about 175! Her stretch goal was 2019 (so she'd win a week at camp, a lap top and an American Girl doll!) but we didn't make that. HAHA!
Those Girl Scouts are hard workers! It was a cold Saturday March morning, but they hustled!
