Memorial Day Weekend!

What a wonderful three day weekend! Madeline, Chris and I spent the weekend enjoying time with family and friends.

5 months old!!

Sweet Madeline is 5 months old! Yesterday was a big milestone for her- she rolled back to belly! She'd been trying to do it for about 3 weeks; she could roll over but then couldn't figure out what to do with her one arm. Yesterday, it connected. She rolled all the over. Then she did it again...and again! Maddie also loves playing with her toes. She likes to grab them and roll from side to side.

She is also talking up a storm. I wander where she gets that from?!

Derby Weekend and Mother's Day

I know its been awhile between blog posts and I apologize! I find it harder and harder to get things done these days!

We had a great but BUSY weekend. On Saturday, we went to Keeneland in Lexington to watch the Derby. It was a great big fun party!

On Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day with both of our moms. Chris and I are so blessed to have had such fabulous women as our mothers. We are very close to both of them and are so happy that they are now blessing Madeline's life as well!

I know I say this all the time, but I cannot believe how fast Madeline is growing. She enjoys going to daycare and playing with her friends. At home she likes to play in her exersaucer and talk to us. She also likes to laugh at Stella. Stella likes to lick her toes- they are best friends!

Here's another one of my "little" sister, Maddie and Stella. Stella kept trying to get in the pictures. We told her to "sit" and "look" and she actually did it. Ha!

I haven't posted since Madeline's four month doctor's visit. She did great. She weighed in at 12 lbs, 9oz. which puts her in the 25th percentile. She did pretty well with her shots too. She can easily flip from her tummy to her back. She can almost go the other way too. She also likes to stand up (and have you support her a little) and look around. I cannot believe how fast she grows!

On Sunday we celebrated with my family. I forgot my camera so I will have to get some of those photos and post them later. There has been a major baby boom in my family in the last year. We have six babies under 18 mos! And another on the way!

We made it!

Last week was a wild week for Madeline and I. Chris was traveling for work so we were home by ourselves. I had some help (ok, a lot of help!) from Robin, my sister and my mom. Thank you all so much! There were a few rough nights where Madeline was up most of the night with stomach pains so it was really great to have some one there to help.

Here are a few sweet pics of our angel. These are from my cell phone so they're a little blurry. Now that Chris is home, we'll be taking some better ones to post!

Maddie is too little for her jumper but she still likes sitting in it looking at and touching the toys.
