Work & Daycare: BUSY week!

Well, I started back to work this week. It was pretty rough. To begin, we didn't get to do our half day daycare dry run b/c poor Maddie got sick over the weekend. She was up all Sunday evening coughing & gagging. Little miss had caught her first cold. (Not sure from where). So, her first day at daycare ended up being my second day back to work. Needless to say there were a lot of tears. Fortunately, Maddie seems to be doing well there. And, she's the cutest kid in her class (obviously) so I think she might get special attention. Or not. That's just what helps get me through the day! :)

This weekend Madeline spent a little bit of time with each set of her grandparents. We also cheered the CATS on to another tournament victory!!

My mom picked Maddie up from daycare early. I had sent her there in a sleeper. When I got to my mom's house she was in this new outfit. Hilarious!

Only a few days left...

I go back to work on Tuesday...which means it has been 12 weeks since Madeline arrived. I cannot believe we have a 3 month old! She is just absolutely the light of our lives!

On Monday, Chris and I are going to do a practice run. We're going to get up & take Madeline to daycare for a few hours. I'm hoping I will get all of my tears out Monday, since I don't want to cry at work. We shall see. I know Maddie will be in good hands, but it doesn't make it any easier! Fortunately, I've got a ton of great friends at work who will help me get through the first few days.

This last week, Maddie and I have been busy with lunch dates, play dates, and the like.

Madeline's newest thing is playing on her mat cooing and screaming. I tried to get it on video but she clams up when the camera comes out.

So I am officially the last person to see Maddie roll over, but I did...today! She rolled over two times in a row. Check out this video.

Madeline: Growing like a weed!

Maddie had her 2 month doctor visit on Wednesday and she did great! She only cried a little after her shots this time- thank goodness! She weighs....TEN pounds! Can you believe that? She is 22 inches long- almost two feet! Here are a few photos of our baby girl!

Over the weekend, Maddie discovered her right arm and hand. I'm not sure if she knows she has a left one yet, but she likes to stare intently at her right hand. It's a riot!

Madeline goes to the doctor on Wednesday for her 2 month check-up. I am already very sad for her b/c I know she will get her shots and be in pain Wed night. Poor baby. I'll keep you posted on her growth progress!

This week, Maddie has had a packed social agenda. We had lunch with Danielle on Monday and made a visit to Danielle's office. I've become friends with a lot of the girls she works with so they were excited to see our sweet baby! Yesterday, Madeline made an appearance at Humana and met everyone I worked with. I barely made it in the door before we were swarmed! Tomorrow we're having lunch with my mom. It's hard being as sweet as Madeline- everyone demands her time! :)

Over the weekend, we got to see Cousin Dane who was staying with Phil and Robin. Here are a few photos:

Beautiful weather!!

The last few days have been gorgeous around here! Chris got off work early on Friday and when he got home, we took Maddie on her first family walk with Stella. Both of the girls loved it! Well, Stella loved it. She misses our nightly walks. Maddie, per the usual, slept. That girl loves her car seat!

I've actually been trying to keep her out of her car seat b/c she is content to sleep the whole day away. Which, of course, doesn't create good nighttime sleep patterns. But...last night she slept SEVEN straight hours! It was wonderful! Chris and I are hoping it wasn't a fluke!
