Fun with Friends!

We had a great March! We had lots of random warm days that let us get outside.

Maddie has been having Stomp practice after school on Monday's so Sydney and I enjoy a little 1x1 time each week.

Maddie went to a Father/Daughter dance with her girl scout troop.

The girls continue to love the Secret Pal gifts each month.

We took Lizzy and Brooke to Pizza King for their first time!

And we've had ALL THE BIRTHDAY PARTIES. Like, all of them. We celebrated Layla at Falls City one weekend.

Then, we celebrated Sawyer at SkyZone.

THEN, we celebrated Mason, our neighbor.

Maddie and Madison have gotten very close this year. I just love watching all of her friendships!

Finally, we got rid of all of our Girl Scout Cookies! Maddie's goal was 100 boxes and she sold about 175! Her stretch goal was 2019 (so she'd win a week at camp, a lap top and an American Girl doll!) but we didn't make that. HAHA!
Those Girl Scouts are hard workers! It was a cold Saturday March morning, but they hustled!

100th Day of School! And Buster Comes to Stay!

We had the 100th day of school a few weeks ago. The girls really enjoyed dressing like themselves at 100 years old!

Turns out, Daisy is a huge fan of fringe.

Each week, in Kindergarten, a child is the Student of the Week. Sydney was so excited when it was her turn! Her class pet is Buster, and we were responsible for taking care of him and documenting his fun in a journal.
Buster walked Syd out to the bus stop each morning.

He went to Brooke's house for a sleepover.

We took him to gymnastics, buckled in his car seat.

And he did a little exercise with Sydney's team in his leotard.

Finally, he had a sleepover with Maddie and Sydney.

We had a great week with Buster!

February Fun!

Let's see - what's been going on?!

Maddie had her 8 year old well-check.

Turns out, she's just perfect. HA. A little petite, but still growing. The doctor did tell me that it's time to start reading "The Care and Keeping of You" with Maddie as 8 is a formative year and, while not likely, she could start puberty soon. Um, whaaaa? No, she's a baby. Leave her be.

But, alas, we bought it and read a bit every night together.

Sydney just wanted a picture. :)

Daisy is my shadow - she follows me everywhere throughout the day. She's a pretty sweet companion. When she's not eating every sock she can get her mouth on.

We have a new favorite restaurant - Rikishi. We eat there all the time!

We came back again with Tia. Glasses Girls!

We went to Laila's birthday party! She had a painting party at her house.

Sydney and Quinn (gymnastic teammates and classmates)

Maddie was the last kid still painting. She was very into it.

Laila and Sydney have been on the same gymnastics team for 2 years. They only see each other at gymnastics but are best buddies. They are always partnered up in the gym and adore each other.

We had our neighborhood progressive dinner which was so much fun! Love these ladies!

And this guy too!

I let the girls each bring a friend home from school and somehow ended up with 5 girls in my car.

Daisy jumped on the bed so we're working with her to let her know that is NOT her space. She thinks she runs this house!

We had a snow day and went to All About Kids with the Smither's. Sydney and Sawyer (who she says is NOT her boyfriend) ran around playing together.

While Maddie and Emerson flipped all over the place.

My Secret Pal continues to bring the girls gifts each month.

Maddie had a sleeper over with a friend so we spent the night with Sydney. She loves snuggle time!

February has been fun so far!

Tubing Fun!

The first weekend in February, we headed to Perfect North to go tubing with some friends.

It was so much fun! We bought a two hour ticket which was just right for the kiddos.

First you take your tube up the conveyer belt...and then you choose a hill to go down! You can go as a group, on your own, with a friend, etc.

Sydney and Lucy started us out.

Maddie and Lucas were next

Then the kids did it by themselves. Sydney asked the guy to spin her. (Of course she did.)

Kristin and I

At one point I started pulling Sydney's tube to the conveyer belt (it's pretty heavy for a five year old) and I felt like it was REALLY heavy. I turned around and she was RIDING on it, while I pulled her! Haha. I had to tell her to get her booty up.

We took a break in the lodge for a snack.

Then, went back up for a few more runs.

The girls were worn out!

Can't wait to do this again!
