Shorter Days, Cooler Weather...FALL is coming!

We've started our transition to Fall. It's getting cooler and I don't like it!

Every year we kick off fall with our annual Huber's trip for apple picking!
Group wagon selfie!

The girls got off the tractor and got right to work!

Don't judge. You try to take a picture of four children all smiling and behaving. #goals

Maddie and Hudson have been friends since Hudson was born. And, while Maddie's friends are pretty much all girls, she has a special friendship with Hudson. They are so sweet.

And, now we've got the second generation friendship with Sydney and Sloane!
Eating apples, talking life.

Let's see, what else?

Chris and I had a date night!

Maddie had her first early release day from school. Since mommy didn't have an early release day from work Madeline got to spend the afternoon with her preschool buddy Audrey.

Grandpa came over for milk and cookies!

And, I got a second job. Or, as my friend Sherri calls it, a "side hustle."
I'm a travel agent! I am having SO MUCH FUN booking trips for friends and planning their vacations!

Maddie's school uses this cool app called See Saw. A few times a week, her teacher uploads pictures of Maddie, her work or class activities. This picture cracked me up!

Sydney moves up to the three year old class next week. She visited all week and did great with the big kids. She likes school but she loves Mondays with nana more!

This weekend we celebrate Sydney Marie with our family and neighbors!

SYDNEY IS THREE!!

Three years ago, little Sydney was born! She brings us so much joy every day!

She is silly and laughs all the time!

She loves to climb and explore.

She thinks the is MUCH older than 3.
She calls me "mom" (even though I tell her I'm still mommy), tries to swing higher than her sister, and wants to ride the "cool" (school) bus.

She loves Pixar Movies! Her favorites are Finding Dory and Inside Out.

Her favorite food is macaroni. She could eat macaroni every single day. When we go out to eat, she always wants to go to "Chil - A Lay" for nuggets, fries, ranch and chetch-up.

She will do anything to get Madeline's attention. She will call her by name, with her voice getting higher and higher. "Maddie, MADDIE, MADS!!!" She always wants Maddie's approval.

She is the sweetest three year old girl I know. We love you so much, Sydney!!

Long Labor Day Weekend!

Well. We had a pretty great Labor Day, minus Sydney's ER visit.

Yep.

I swear. I go to the ER more than some people go to Kroger.

*Back up to last weekend*

Sydney's eye didn't get too bad this time, thank goodness. I mean, in perspective. People still stared at her and asked me "WHAT HAPPENED" but in comparison to last time, we stayed pretty good.

Speaking of Sydney - BIG STUFF is happening for our 2 year old. She's been in an undies for a week now! WOOHOO. I thought she might be 16 wearing pull-ups, but I digress. It has clicked and I'm so relieved!

Moving on...

Friday morning, Sydney and I did some crafting while Madeline was at school.

We did some cleaning.

We did some snuggling.

Saturday, we ran some errands.

Then, Madeline had a birthday party for a classmate.

On Sunday we invited our neighbors over for a cookout. It's been so wonderful meeting new friends!

6 girls...and Mason making a run for it.. This poor boy!

We went to bed and everyone was looking forward to a nice sleep after a few long days.

Except not.

Just before 1 am, Sydney woke up crying. She was in full blown croup attack. Wheezing, gasping, croup cough, very very upset.

We calmed her down but decided she still needed to get some steroids quickly so Chris took her to the ER, while I stayed back with a sleeping Madeline.

After some steroids and a popsicle, Sydney was back to her smiling self.

Watching Inside Out (her favorite movie!) and having a blue raspberry popsicle at 2 am. Whatever.

The ER doc decided she didn't need an epinephrine breathing treatment and she was discharged.

On Monday, we had plans to go to Family Palooza with Hudson at his church. Chris and Sydney stayed back while I took Maddie. We had a great time! There were inflatables, a petting zoo, a helicopter...SO MUCH FUN STUFF. I hated that Sydney had to miss out but she enjoyed hanging out with daddy and taking it easy.

Fun weekend with friends. Back to the grind tomorrow.
