We pack a lot of fun into one weekend!!

We kicked off the weekend early with lunch at Pizza King with Dane, Quinn, Nana and Grandpa!!

Where is the train?! The kids love watching the train go by...it's an extra treat when it stops at the table with our drinks.

I brought some quarters for the kids to play games.

Friday night means ice cream night in our house!!

On Saturday, Maddie got all fancy and we went shopping with Hudson.

It was SuperHero day at Pottery Barn Kids!

Hudson pooped out early so Maddie pushed him awhile. Maddie truly defines "shop til you drop."

Saturday night we headed to church. Maddie and Ronny climbed all the way to the top!

Then we went to the Summit.

Sunday morning, we went to the Zoo with Hudson!

There was no one at the water park, so it was perfect for the kiddos.

9 month well visit!!

On Wednesday, I took the girls for their well visit check-ups. Sydney had her 9 month check-up and Madeline had a growth check.

BABY SYDNEY STATS

Weight: 17 lbs, 3 oz (30%)

Height: 26.5 in (10%)

Sydney is doing tremendous with her milestones. She is exceeding all of her gross and fine motor skills...you know since she stands up and tries to walk all the time. She is not, however, saying mama and dada (well she says da da da da da) so I guess we have something to work on. I'm not too concerned yet since Madeline didn't talk until 18 months and you saw how THAT turned out. 

Speaking of Maddie, we had to take Maddie in for a mid year check since she's so small. Her ped just wanted to check her height and weight again. She is growing, and on the same scale as before, but she's still little. Since she's tracking to where she's always tracked (growth hasn't slowed down, that is) the doctor doesn't think she needs to see a growth specialist yet. Hoping that sweet (petite) girl just keeps growing so we can stay away from that!

 Madeline tries really hard to play with Sydney and it's such a joy to watch.

Sydney was more interested in taking everything from Madeline's hands, including the cash register, which didn't go over well. 

(Maddie kept scooting the register farther and farther from Sydney who just kept reaching and reaching!)

I get now why my mom was always saying, "She's little. She doesn't understand. She's trying to play with you too, but she cannot do everything the exact way you do." Since I say that EVERY DAY.

 PSA from Sydney: A lot of my people have been commenting on my hair...well lack there of. Take a look at this picture---it's coming in!!

Tia and grandma headed back to Disney so we played with them on Wednesday before they left. We taught Maddie how to play Pretty Pretty Princess and she loves it.

Well, except the whole having to give the crown away when she has it. I'm working with her on winning AND losing graciously.

Sydney's look means she is headed straight for the game. She's hoping to crawl over the game board and stick as many pieces of jewelry in her mouth that she can.

BUSTED. Grandpa grabbed her in time!

Dane's Party and Splash Park Fun!

I was reading old posts on my blog the other day and found this one which made me laugh. I wrote that  my OB told me Sydney was going to be a wild baby. AND SHE IS!! I should have known when she came more than 2 weeks early. What a stinker!! She never stops. 

I tried to get a picture of her party outfit on Saturday but well, by the time my camera loaded she had moved. 

Maybe she can get a modeling contract for her back, because that's all I ever see!

Dane had a gymnastics birthday party and Maddie had so much fun!

Daddy went out Saturday night so tia came to stay with us. Sydney helped her plan her Disney work schedule.

At this point, I think Sydney signed her up to work parking strollers. Sorry tia! (Yes, that's a real job.)

On Sunday, we headed to the water park!

The kids wanted to eat lunch at 10:30 so we let them.

This week, Sydney has her 9 month check-up. Can't wait to see how she's grown!

Summer fun!

It is H-O-T, HOT here! And we've been loving it.

Lots of dress up fun!

What do I do with this? 

We change the water in Maddie's pool every other day so one day we had a little fun before emptying it out!

We've been doing fun art projects. 

We taught ourselves how to make balloon animals.

Maddie got a desk for when we play school. She loves it!

I spend most days chasing Sydney around and taking things out of her mouth.

EVERYTHING goes in her mouth.

Her favorite thing to do is open and close the door to the playroom house.

We spent an afternoon at All About Kids. This was the first time Sydney got to play too!

Sweet little girl has found her tongue and loves sticking it out at me!

She thinks its really funny!

Daddy and I had a lunch date this week too!

Today, we beat the heat with tia at nana's pool.

Poor Stella. She had to go back in the cone and it has really taken the wind out of her sails. 

 But, she's gotta keep it on until she gets healthy! 

Finally, it's Friday night which only means one thing! Time for ice cream!!
