Hudson's Birthday! A hot air balloon surprise!

Last Saturday, we went to Hudson's birthday party! (Well, Madeline and I did. Poor sick sweet Sydney stayed home with daddy.)

Outdoor playtime!

This week, Madeline had her first swim lesson. She LOVED it. She was last out of the pool. 

On Wednesday, great grandma came to spend the day with us. We went to Maddie's gymnastics class, Chik Fil A and to Walmart to get a new toy!

On Friday, my mom took the day off to spend some time with me and the girls. We played at the mall and had lunch at Chuy's.

 Madeline put the bow on Sydney and she wore it for a bit. So cute.

This morning we were thinking about taking Madeline to the Great Balloon Race. She loves hot air balloons. But we didn't think we'd make it (it started SUPER early) so we stayed home. We got lucky though--a balloon landed in our neighbor's front yard!! Maddie thought this was very cool. 

Madeline is at Lowe's with my mom picking out flowers to plant, Chris is at Home Depot and Sydney is sleeping. Looking forward to a great Saturday!

What a wonderful Easter weekend we had. We went to church on Saturday and had a cook-out at grandma and grandpa's first.

Madeline loves to pick grandma's flowers. 

And, she had an Easter Egg hunt!

On Sunday, we went to nana and grandpa's house for lunch and playtime.

 

 We tried to get some photos of the four grandkids.

 This is what most of our pictures look like--CHAOS!

But we did get some cute ones!

  

And some of just my sweet family.

 

Poor Sydney had a double ear infection and was miserable Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, the antibiotics had kicked in and she was MUCH happier.

  

 

  

Dane brought his bike and my little daredevil wasted no time hopping on.  

Then, we had an egg hunt. This was Maddie's third one so she was an old pro by this point.

Hold on peeps. I need an outfit change and my glasses, then I'm all set.

 

Sydney and I had a front row seat.

And, I cropped one so that I could have of a close up of my two beautiful ladies. Aren't they the sweetest?!

What a beautiful Easter weekend. We had fun with Easter baskets and egg hunts, but we know the real reason for the celebration. 

A little bit of this...a little bit of that.

It was cold (again!) Wednesday so we played in the garage.

I love this picture of Madeline. She found some of my old books in the basement and said to me: Mommy, I'm going upstairs now to read. 

And she did.

This looks just like me as a little girl...headband, leotard and books. 

Madeline's personality is pretty evident at this point and I'm so curious to see what our little Sydney will be like!

Henry's Ark

On Sunday we went to Henry's Ark with Kyle and Danielle and Hudson. It's a farm pretty close to our house that lets you wander around and feed their animals. The kids LOVED it.

  

After a fun morning, we had a picnic lunch at Hays Kennedy park.

What a great day!
