Madeline: Growing like a weed!

Maddie had her 2 month doctor visit on Wednesday and she did great! She only cried a little after her shots this time- thank goodness! She weighs....TEN pounds! Can you believe that? She is 22 inches long- almost two feet! Here are a few photos of our baby girl!

Over the weekend, Maddie discovered her right arm and hand. I'm not sure if she knows she has a left one yet, but she likes to stare intently at her right hand. It's a riot!

Madeline goes to the doctor on Wednesday for her 2 month check-up. I am already very sad for her b/c I know she will get her shots and be in pain Wed night. Poor baby. I'll keep you posted on her growth progress!

This week, Maddie has had a packed social agenda. We had lunch with Danielle on Monday and made a visit to Danielle's office. I've become friends with a lot of the girls she works with so they were excited to see our sweet baby! Yesterday, Madeline made an appearance at Humana and met everyone I worked with. I barely made it in the door before we were swarmed! Tomorrow we're having lunch with my mom. It's hard being as sweet as Madeline- everyone demands her time! :)

Over the weekend, we got to see Cousin Dane who was staying with Phil and Robin. Here are a few photos:

Beautiful weather!!

The last few days have been gorgeous around here! Chris got off work early on Friday and when he got home, we took Maddie on her first family walk with Stella. Both of the girls loved it! Well, Stella loved it. She misses our nightly walks. Maddie, per the usual, slept. That girl loves her car seat!

I've actually been trying to keep her out of her car seat b/c she is content to sleep the whole day away. Which, of course, doesn't create good nighttime sleep patterns. But...last night she slept SEVEN straight hours! It was wonderful! Chris and I are hoping it wasn't a fluke!

Happy early Valentine's Day!

This year, Chris and I have a new Valentine: MADDIE! Hopefully everyone remembers to tell their special Valentine how much they love them on Monday!

Maddie is getting SO big! I cannot believe she will be 7 weeks old on Monday. Here are a few photos from this weekend!

Maddie Update

Maddie is doing great! Since we've been given the all-clear to take her out, she's been out and about around town. She went to her first restaurant (Hometown Pizza) and slept the whole time. I also took her to the mall on Friday and pushed her around for over an hour. She slept the whole time. I know this great sleeping won't last forever so I'm going to take advantage of it the next several weeks! :) In other news, a lady at the mall asked me if Maddie was a boy. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? She was wearing a green outfit with pink and yellow flowers on it!

We're also working on establish her bedtime routine. She gets a bottle between 9:30-10 and then gets in her crib at 11. She sleeps til around 3:30. I am usually up with her feeding and changing her until 4. Then she sleeps til 7. I usually can get her back to sleep for another hour before she actually needs to eat again. I think that's pretty good.

We're also starting to put her hair bows on her- I think she likes them!

We had Maddie's one month check-up today at the pediatrician. She checked out great and is gaining weight like a champ. She clocked in at 8 lbs, 3 oz; she's now moved up from the 10th percentile to the 25th for her weight. Her head circumference and length are both 50th percentile. She had to get a shot today and she HATED it. She's been pretty fussy tonight so I think poor girl is sore. :(
