Welcome to November! We wrapped up October with our annual Fall Break trip.
Earlier in the year, Chris told me he didn't really want to do Disney World this year. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I asked if he'd do a Disney cruise. Ha!
We flew out Thursday right when the girls got out of school. It was a late night, which meant our second flight looked like this - Sydney's head in my lap and her feet on the gentleman next to us. Who was so so kind and patient to her. (We flew standby on this leg so our group was split up all over the flight.)
We stayed in a hotel near the airport and then the next day headed to the port!
Waiting to board at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal!
We toured the Kids Club and my IRONMAN met the other IronMan.
The girls did a quick coloring sheet.
We headed to the sail away deck party. The girls danced and sang and had a blast!
My parents upgraded their room at the pier and got the most ridiculous balcony that's every existed.

That's me, up front. That's the rest of my family, about 50 feet behind me at the other end of the balcony.
We sailed out of NYC which mean we had a gorgeous view of the skyline.
We met some more characters that night.
Sydney chose the top bunk and Maddie got the bottom, and surprisingly, they were both very happy with this arrangement. I fully expected to have to negotiate this!
We saw Tangled (my most favorite show on DCL!) and went to bed happy.
Then the trouble started. The next morning we had our first day at sea. And Maddie was SO SEASICK. It was awful. She was literally in bed the entire day. I felt so bad for her. She occasionally gets car sick but was not sick at all on our cruise last summer. Didn't even mention feeling the ship's motion. But, this cruise was on a smaller ship out of the North Atlantic and it was ROUGH. I mean the ship was rocking and rolling. And poor little Maddie just couldn't deal with it.
Chris and I rotated staying in the room with Mads and took Syd around to do the ship's activities.
We were able to get Maddie dressed up for the Halloween Party. The girls played a few games and trick or treated. And then...she had a "protein spill" so it was back to bed for her.
Our Cinderella themed costumes!
We saw a few more characters in their Halloween costumes and then went to bed, anxiously awaiting to be on land in beautiful Bermuda!
