Spring Break 2018

We had a fun Spring Break!

We got an extra day because our teachers went to Frankfort to protest. We went to House of Boom with our neighbors and all of the surrounding counties.

We wore our new Easter outfits from grandma!

Sydney loves her cold-shoulder top. Whenever she sees one now she shouts "look at that cold-shoulder!" Ha!

Chris took Friday off and we went to Indianapolis to visit the Children's Museum. We stayed open-close and had a blast!

We went down the chocolate slide first!

Then we went and looked at dinosaur bones!

I loved the train exhibit!

The girls went scuba diving to measure the ship wrecks on the ocean floor.

We did a mummy puzzle.

There's a great little climbing and water play area for children under 5. If they have older siblings, they can come in as a helper. Maddie loved this.

We rode the carousel!

There's a larger water play area open for all ages that we enjoyed spending time at.

We learned about healthy nutrition and built balanced meals for all of us to eat!

We rock climbed.

We farmed on a John Deere.

These two operating heavy machinery should scare use all!

We put on vests and went spelunking and looked for gemstones and minerals in the cave!

We played ice cream parlor in the small town.

Maddie won her round at the hip hop unit in the Dance exhibit.

Sydney tried her hand at tap dancing.

As hard as we tried we could not get the tires changed and car filled up in under 5 seconds in the pit stop challenge!

This is just a small sample of the fun we had! It's such a great museum!

The next day we had plans to go to the zoo but it was snowing (on SPRING BREAK MIND YOU!) so we did a little shopping and headed home. Of course, we stopped at On The Border for lunch, but then we had one more surprise for the girls. A friend had told me about Zaharanko's - an ice cream parlor from the 1900's. We made a pit stop here on the way home and let the girls get a build your own ice cream sundae.

It was only a little bit ridiculous.

We let them burn off the sugar at the indoor play place next door.

Then finished the drive home!

Little sis couldn't take anymore.

The next day Danielle and I took all of the kids to Disney on Ice. We had lunch at Spaghetti Factory first.

What a great Spring Break!
