Halloween 2018

We still had a few days of Fall Break when we got home. We invited Emerson's family over for dinner and had a lot of fun with them. Chris and I went to high school with her parents, who are also high school sweethearts! Maddie and Emerson really want to be twins (their birthday is 7 days apart) and tell everyone that they are.

My Secret Pal dropped off some Halloween goodies, including a little gift for the girls.

There was bad weather predicted for Halloween so our town pushed trick or treating one day sooner. Cinderella and her fairy godmother hit the town, pillowcases in hand, ready for some candy!

We trick or treated with our main peeps, Hudson and Sloane.

We met lots of friends along the way.

We stopped after about 45 minutes and headed home. The kids were tired and we had ENOUGH JUNK! Ha!

On Halloween, we carved our pumpkins.

And got a little silly!

Happy Halloween!

American Girl Doll Birthday

This year we gave Syd the option of having a party or going to the American Girl doll store in New York to pick out a doll and have lunch. She chose the shopping!

When we disembarked our cruise, we headed to Rockefeller Plaza. The girls thought the ice skating rink was pretty cool!

Anxiously waiting to go in!

So excited for her special day!

We started downstairs with the Bitty Babies...

Then we saw the Wellie Wishers...

This store is huge! Already worn out!

Then Sydney marched down the row of dolls, trying to find the perfect one for her.

While Sydney kept shopping, Maddie had an appointment at the doll salon for MaryEllen.

It was actually super impressive!

We learned lots of tricks for how to keep her hair from getting crazy again, so hopefully we can do it!

Once we got our doll (and a few accessories) we went to the cafe for lunch.
Happy birthday Sydney girl!

It was a fun afternoon and a great way to wrap up fall break! We flew home that night and our doll had her own chair on one leg.

But a 5 night cruise and a day shopping in the city was too much for this little one. She passed out.

And, with that, I am done traveling for the year. THANK HEAVENS. It's good to be grounded again. I had spent 2 out of 4 weeks on a cruise ship in the North Atlantic and was feeling it! I felt like I was rocking for 2 days after I got home!

BERMUDA

We woke up in beautiful Bermuda! Maddie felt so much better so we were able to get off the boat and go!

We hiked the South Shore Beaches and let the girls splash at each one.

Sydney got a little tired on the way back and needed some help.

We got back on the ship and enjoyed some slide time.

We cleaned up and headed to Rapunzel's for dinner. I love this restaurant. You get live music and a full show while you eat, including visits from Rapunzel and Flynn!

On our second day in Bermuda we headed into historic Georgetown. We visited one of the oldest churches in the Western Hemisphere.

Sisters!

That night was pirate night!

There was a hilarious juggler and Sydney volunteered to go in his show. It was a RIOT. She did so so good. She was the youngest in the show but spoke very well in front of everyone.

Sydney's cheering section. (Maddie was seasick - again - so Chris was in the room with her.)

The next morning we met the Frozen sisters!

And a few other princesses!

The girls swam the rest of the afternoon. They loved running between the slides, the pools and the hot tub.

We enjoyed a great last meal. Roland and Ora were our serving team. I had just had them a few weeks prior on my Canadian cruise and it was so nice to have them again!

They treated the girls like royalty.

Since Maddie had missed some of the cruise being sick, I let her stay up late with me on our last night. We went to the character send-off in the atrium and she got to have some special time with her favorite princesses.

It was tough with Maddie being sick a bit on this cruise, but overall, we had great time!

We woke up the next morning back in New York City!
