6 month old baby!

Madeline had her 6 month check-up this week...can you believe that? We have a 6 month old! She did great with her shots (3 needle shots and an oral vaccine) and is growing perfectly! She weighed 15 lbs, 6 oz which puts her in the 50th percentile. She was 24.5 inches - in the 25th percentile for height.

Madeline is all over the place. She rolls everywhere and can get on all fours and scoot backwards or around in a circle.

Maddie and I had lunch with my mom, sis, aunt, Preston and grandma this weekend. The photos are a little dark b/c they're from my mom's phone.

Happy Father's Day!

This is Chris's first Father's Day. Maddie and I love him so much! Thank you, Chris, for being a wonderful father and husband to Maddie and I.

A big shout-out to my dad and Chris's dad as well. There's no way we could survive this crazy game called parenting if it hadn't been for you two. Thanks for teaching us everything! We love you!

Child Prodigy

Chris took a cute little video of Madeline tonight. Watch and listen closely. He tells her to "spin the globe" on her exersaucer...and she does it! What a smart girl. We've since begun filling out her Harvard early admission applications! :)

Pool Day

Chris and I took Madeline over for dinner with Nana and Grandpa Hughes today. She spent the late afternoon taking a nap by the pool and swimming!

Memorial Day Weekend!

What a wonderful three day weekend! Madeline, Chris and I spent the weekend enjoying time with family and friends.

5 months old!!

Sweet Madeline is 5 months old! Yesterday was a big milestone for her- she rolled back to belly! She'd been trying to do it for about 3 weeks; she could roll over but then couldn't figure out what to do with her one arm. Yesterday, it connected. She rolled all the over. Then she did it again...and again! Maddie also loves playing with her toes. She likes to grab them and roll from side to side.

She is also talking up a storm. I wander where she gets that from?!
