Disney Wrap-Up

On Friday, tia had to work. So we hung out by the pool. Early November pool action? I can dig it!

Maddie made a new friend, Lexi, and they hung out all morning. I actually got to read 3, yes THREE, magazines while sitting on a chair. It was amazing.

We had a pizza lunch and then got glammed up for Cirque de Soleil. How big does Maddie look? Before the show, we did a little shopping at Disney Springs.

Glad to see I can still french braid!

Maddie loved the show and was belly laughing at one point. So, everyone around us was laughing at her.

On Saturday, we took the boat to Port Orleans for lunch. Mom gets their gluten free beignets and swears they are the best treat she can have with her diet.

Mercedes and I had planned to spend the afternoon at Hollywood Studios with Madeline but she actually decided to hang with grandma and great-grandma at the pool. It was about a million degrees and I think the pool just sounded more fun to my little swimmer.

So, Cedes and I were left to our own devices!

It's not terrible having a sister that works at Disney!

We rode Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror several times before settling in for the Osbourne Light Spectacle.

It was AWESOME! Several little "streets" in HS lit up with the display coordinated to music.

After the pool, grandma and great-grandma took Maddie to Animal Kingdom Lodge to watch some animal feedings and roast marshmallows.

We had a great long weekend in Florida visiting my sister. She is a good sport with Madeline who never lets her out of her sight.

Since she was a baby, Maddie has always ridden with a foot on tia. It used to be really cute when it was a tiny fat baby foot. It's not so cute when it's a sweaty tennis shoe, but Cedes is a really good sport about it. And no, we have no idea why.

On Sunday, we were up EARLY to head back home. Maddie loves the tram in the Orlando airport so I rode with her back and forth a few times.

We sent this picture to Chris and said, "Daddy and Sydney, we are coming for ya!"

I so enjoyed having this time with my big girl, but we were very ready to see our little Sydney. She had a great time at home with daddy. She got extra special time with him and nana and grandpa.
Maddie talked about Sydney a lot while we were gone and the girls were very happy to be reunited. That lasted about an hour, then they started arguing again. Oh, sisters!

Recovering!

Well, our whirlwind trip to Disney to visit tia is over. We were all whooped. So much so, that Maddie slept almost 12 hours last night! We had to wake her up for school which happens...NEVER.

We had a BLAST on our "big girls trip."

We headed out Wednesday for Orlando.
Maddie on a mission!

A police officer stopped us and gave her a police badge sticker.

Grandma bought Maddie an Elsa hat which was hysterical.

So excited to go visit tia!

A short 2 hours later, we were in sunny and HOT Florida.
And that was the end of Mercedes's personal space for the next 5 days.
In our hotel room, Madeline found a brand new Belle dress! She has worn her old Belle dress OUT, plus it's a size 2T. Ha.

We changed and headed to the Polynesian for one of our favorite meals.

We ate and rode the monorail to some of the resorts where we did some pin trading.

We took the monorail back and got in bed early to prepare for Magic Kingdom!

Waiting for the park to open. These 2 were headed straight to the Anna and Elsa Meet and Greet while mom and I headed to Space Mountain.

We hadn't gotten to see A and E on our last trip so it was a must this time.

Mom and I rode Space Mountain twice - there was no one in line!

Tia also went ahead and took Maddie on the tea cups, because mama don't play that game.

And, of course, they stopped and got pixie-dusted.
Side note: We got glittered on Wednesday. Six days and six showers later, we are still pixie dusted.

The lines were pretty short so we were able to fit in a lot of rides!

The Haunted Mansion!

Dumbo!

And when it got H-O-T, because "Fall" in Orlando was 88 degrees with a heat index of 92, and we had sweat EVERYWHERE, we rode the People Mover a few times to cool off.

That night, we met up with my aunt and uncle for a quick visit. They were there celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary at the Food and Wine festival.

And I wrapped up the night with a sweet picture of my Sydney who I was missing!
