Zoo Day!

What a beautiful Wednesday!!! We picked up tia and headed to the zoo!

So excited for a girls' day!

First, we did the carousel!

Sydney just watched.

Here is where I tried to get a photo of my and my sweet girls. Maddie was having none of it and Sydney was NOT going to look at the camera. Sigh.

Took a spin in the old bus by the elephants...

Talked to the gorilla...

Sydney and tia took a selfie.

And, we did the lorakeets for the first time with Madeline. She LOVED it!

This is how you know it was a good morning. Sydney bit the dust!!

Then, we came home and both girls slept for more than 2 hours!

Incredible Dave's and another (the same?) ear infection...

On Friday, my sister spent the day with us. The girls had some sister time.

It was too cold for the zoo, so we tried Incredible Dave's. It was great! Madeline loved it. She immediately kicked her shoes off and started climbing.

We played games!

Maddie used nearly all of her tickets to get her prize...a dum-dum sucker.
(I think that sucker cost me like $20, but who is counting.)

Sweet Sydney loved it too.

No one would know this little monkey STILL had her double infection.

I asked for an otoscope for my birthday (yes, I really did.) so I'd been checking in her ears every day since she started her amoxicillen. I could tell it was still infected but she had been acting pretty happy. Until Friday night when she turned into the mayor of crazy town.

So, we went in Saturday morning and sure enough, Doctor Mommy was right. She got a stronger antibiotic and we'll see how this turns out.

This cherry stuff is awesome!!

We celebrated Aunt Laura's birthday and Mother's Day (blog post later on that) on Saturday, but we spent Sunday at home letting Sydney rest.

Madeline makes me laugh every day. I was putting Sydney down for her nap and when I came in the playroom, she had my otoscope in Charlotte Maynah Maynah's ears. Very seriously she said, "I see your white stuff." She has heard me talking about the white stuff in her ears which is the scarring from her first set of tubes.

As it turns out, Dr. Madeline diagnosed Charlotte with an ear infection but not strep throat so that was great.

Chris worked on the cabinets...they are SO CLOSE to being done!

Maddie got her pool out!

What a gorgeous weekend! Looking forward to a great week and praying little Sydney's ears clear up.

Crawling, eating, shopping!

I forgot to include this picture last week. When I went to get Madeline from my mom's, her and tia were laying out. Hilarious.

Little Sydney is no longer only moving backwards. She's going forward now too! She still hasn't really found her groove, but she's almost there!

On Tuesday, Maddie and daddy had a date night.

Qdoba selfie.

Playing at BN.

Playing at Cabela's.

I was out with my girls---Kathryn came to visit!!
My two great friends...one is getting married in August, and the next in September!

So glad we got to see you Kat!!

On Wednesday, we played, played, played!

Maddie loves to play dress-up.

Sydney crawled all over the playroom.

I strapped on the Bjorn and took both girls to Old Navy.
Maddie was in the stroller but is hiding in this picture. That trip literally wore me out for the next 3 days. Maddie wanted to buy EVERYTHING in sight.

"Look at this mommy, these pajamas are so cute."
"Mommy, I really want that polka dot bathing suit."
"Mommy, I want these silver flip flops. And the yellow ones with the flower."
"Mommy, we should buy this for Sydney."
(at least she is thinking of others)

Finally, I had to give her my phone so she could watch YouTube videos. Otherwise, she would have broke me!

Gardening! A Sydney present!

On Saturday, Madeline spent the morning with grandma working in her yard. They went to Lowe's and picked out flowers to plant.

While Maddie was at grandma's, Chris worked outside out house while I had some alone time with sweet Sydney. She helped me wrap some presents I needed to wrap. She is EVERYWHERE.

I looked over and she had managed to backwards crawl IN TO a gift bag.

 She thought it was hilarious.

Who wouldn't want this gift?!

Our big news for the week is that daddy got a new car! Madeline thinks it is awesome.
